The agency created this series to relate the effects of climate on agricultural production. The data was also published for research purposes within and outside of the agency. This series contains monthly temperature and precipitation information aggregated by state and farm production region. The data are weighted by geographic area and harvested area. The data also contains the computed mean and standard of deviation for the monthly figures.
