Abstract

The ITERATE project is an attempt to quantify data on the characteristics of transnational terrorist groups, their activities which have international impact, and the environment in which they operate. ITERATE 3 updates the coverage of terrorist incidents first reported in ITERATE 1 and 2, which can be obtained from the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research, Study #7947. ITERATE 3 is compatible with the coding categories used in its predecessors, but includes new variables.
